Very interesting. Following the example and advice of Tarrega in his later years, I cut off my nails and just play with my fingertips. Comes from my classical piano background, can’t stand clicky nail sounds on the piano keys. Cool how you can use a pick with fingers, I cannot control a pick, thy just spin around on me.

What would Bach have thought of your version? It’s fun to imagine. Wonderful playing, as always.

Beautiful playing, beautiful instrument. I think your issue with the higher tension Savarez strings may be because the guitar is a spruce top as opposed to the more common cedar top found on classical style guitars.

"The [Savarez hard tension] strings actually seem to expose the smaller size of the guitar's body" - this is a great way to put it. Yes, I agree. They may give a louder sound, but it is less full. I play a short scale model and I pulled the Savarez strings off immediately. It seems most people do. Definitely play around with trying different strings on the Cordobas.

Pfuu, you dont need to be MAESTRO and you dont need to 100% mimic some technique.... I think he is talking IF you want to play on max and do all the super-fancy things BRILIANTLY, with ease. For that - you need good nails. But if you just go 1 level lower - you can are PERFECTLY FINE WITHOUT ANY NAILS - just proper technique.

Very nice Review. PS! i hope you are not playing with the Tremolo in that position shown in your vid.., cause it makes stuff actually worse when it come to spring tension and tuning. You should lower it a tad. If you like more space between strings and neck frets, you can adjust it on the nutz on each side of said tremolo
